BACON STYLE B  17 FRET TENOR BANJO

This all original banjo was made by the Bacon Musical Instrument co. in Groton Connecticut in 1927. The company had actually changed to  Bacon and Day by this time but still made banjos under the Bacon name for a few years as well as the Bacon and Day name. This has 17 frets with a 22" scale length so is a great banjo for Irish trad. music as well as jazz. As you can see from the photos it's in excellent condition. Lovely straight neck with low action, ready to play. Original Grover geared tuners and original Presto tailpiece. Tone ring similar to the Vega Little wonder. Clear Remo head. Great tone and plenty of punch.  This is a very good example of it's kind and is a rare find. comes with a decent hard case, not original. Price: £600
