REMENYI TENOR BANJO SOLD 15 photos
The Remenyi company has a long history. The banjo is stamped with the Remenyi Budapest mark suggesting that it was made before 1959. The company opened workshops in Budapest at the end of the first world war and they were destroyed during the second world war. They escaped to Toronto, Canada in 1959 where they re-established themselves and continue to thrive to this day. This is an open backed short scale length (20") 17 fret banjo. The neck has been shimmed and the original friction tuners have been replaced with modern geared tuners for easy and accurate tuning. Perfect neck and frets, it's a great little player. A great banjo for someone with small hands who finds the stretch of a standard length 19 fret banjo a little too much. May be you're a mandolin player who wants to try a banjo? or maybe you just want a second banjo for practising around the house? May be you want to learn the tenor banjo but don't want to spend a fortune? This could be just what you want. No case but I'll pack well for posting if required. Hear what this banjo sounds like here. Price: SOLD
